PTA- Yelvertoft School Association
Our Parent Teacher Association (Yelvertoft School Association) is a friendly group of parents, carers and school staff who work together to support the school and help make it an even better place for our children.
A big part of what we do is fundraising for the school. The money raised by the PTA helps provide extra resources and opportunities for the children that go beyond the school’s normal budget. This can include things like new equipment, books, playground improvements, contributions towards trips, and special experiences that help enrich school life. The PTA works closely with the school to understand where support is most needed so that the money raised can make the biggest possible difference for the children.
We organise a range of fun events throughout the year that bring the whole school community together. These might include school fayres, seasonal celebrations, raffles, sponsored activities and other family-friendly events. Not only do these events help raise valuable funds, they are also a great way for families to meet each other and feel more connected to the school.
One of the easiest ways to support the PTA is by taking part in our school lottery, run by Your School Lottery. Tickets cost just £1 per week and give you the chance to win weekly prizes, including a £25,000 jackpot. Even better, 65% of every ticket goes directly back into supporting the school and benefiting our children.
Another simple way to support the PTA is through Easyfundraising. We are registered with Easyfundraising, which means you can help raise funds for the school when you shop online at many well-known retailers. When you shop through Easyfundraising, the retailer makes a small donation to the PTA at no extra cost to you.
The PTA is a registered charity with the Charity Commission and operates in accordance with its constitution. The committee members act as trustees of the charity and are responsible for ensuring that funds are raised and used appropriately to support the aims of the association and benefit the school community.
Everyone is welcome to be involved in the PTA, and you can take part in whatever way suits you. Some people help organise events, others volunteer a little time at activities, share ideas, or simply come along to support the events we run. Every bit of help, big or small, really does make a difference.
Most importantly, the PTA is about bringing people together to support the school and create a positive, welcoming community for all our children and families.
If you would like to find out more, get involved, or support our activities, please contact the school office who will be happy to pass on your details to the PTA.
